Sant Lluis is a small, bustling Menorcan town, just outside the capital of Mahon and close to the airport. It is one of the few towns left here by the French and has a grid system of roads, unlike others on the island.
You may pass through this town on the way to Punta Prima or Binibeca. If you do, you may, like us, be caught up in the usual traffic jam through the busy streets, or in the queue for some of the cheaper petrol on the island. Behind the main road, we found this church square and further up this road was a windmill. There are restaurants and shops, but very narrow pavements, so it all gets quite crowded.
Just outside Sant Lluis is Menorca's very large, very new hospital, which we hope you won't have the opportunity to visit. Also there is a trotting race track here, which is very popular.
