Punta Prima is an extremely popular holiday resort for families and you can see why: the beach is gorgeous. Soft, white sand and a horse-shoe shaped bay, with turquoise water. It had life guards and plenty of parasols and sunloungers for everyone.
Just behind the beach itself, is a long, pedestrianised street with bars, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets, again very much aimed at the British family with young children. The holiday accommodation seems to be in small hotels and villas/apartments. Although we were there on quite a breezy day, it was fairly sheltered and certainly didn't seem to stop people from enjoying the water! A beach train runs from here to pretty little Cala Binibeca, further along the coast to the west.
